Fresh, zesty, and irresistibly Mediterranean! These Mediterranean Smash Tacos bring the bold flavors of a gyro—right into taco night. Made with Celia’s corn tortillas, seasoned turkey, creamy tzatziki, and crunchy veggies, they’re fresh, fast, and full of flavor in every bite. 🌮🌿🇬🇷
Ingredients:
Ground turkey
Italian seasoning
Celia’s corn tortillas
Feta cheese, crumbled
Diced cucumber
Diced tomato
Sliced red onion
Tzatziki sauce
Optional extras:
Chopped kalamata olives
Lemon zest or juice for brightness
Shredded romaine for crunch
Instructions:
Season the turkey: In a bowl, mix ground turkey with Italian seasoning until well combined.
Smash onto tortillas: Press a thin layer of seasoned turkey directly onto one side of each Celia’s corn tortilla.
Cook turkey-side down: In a hot skillet, place the tortilla turkey-side down first and cook until the meat is browned and cooked through (about 3–4 minutes). Flip and toast the tortilla side for 1–2 minutes.
Top & fold: Add crumbled feta, diced cucumber and tomato, sliced red onion, and a dollop of tzatziki.
Fold & crisp: Fold the taco in half, press gently, and cook 1–2 more minutes until golden and slightly melty.
Serve hot with extra tzatziki or lemon wedges on the side—Mediterranean taco night = unlocked! 💙
